This template is very simple.  There is a planning sheet as well that I will add.  I had students fold a sheet into 8 squares to do their planning but the planning sheet was much more straight forward.  On the back we added photos of ourselves and a short piece "about the author" as we plan to display them in the library.

Our unit for January is based on Jan Brett's book.  The last page of the file called "sequencing" is meant for students to stick onto popsicle sticks and make puppets to retell the story.  We are going to make mittens to put the puppets in as we tell the story.  One teacher plans to have a parent hole punch around the mitten and the students stitch them together with wool.  The story will be glued to one side of the mitten.  I want to try some fabric arts and have the students sew together two pieces of felt with embroidery thread.  I will post a template of the mitten with a simplified version of the story shortly.

I still have not managed to order a copy of this book in French.  It is out of print everywhere.  However there are at least 3 different versions en français on Amazon and they are fabulous!  I have ordered them and plan to do a comparaison!
